Reading the group standings table in a padel tournament

Padel counts score, not goals. What each column means, and how the fixtures below it are grouped.

The padel standings table is on the Results tab. It has six columns, and none of them counts goals.

Finding the table

  1. Open the tournament and select Results.

  2. Select Group Phase. Once every group match has a score, the tab opens on the knockout phase instead.

  3. Read the table. One row per pair.

What the columns mean

  • PLD - matches played.

  • SCORE - the points the pair won across those matches.

  • W, D, L - won, drawn, lost.

  • PTS - standings points. This is what the table is sorted on.

SCORE and PTS are two different things. SCORE is how much the pair scored on court. PTS is what a result is worth in the table, and you set that yourself: Win points, Loss points and Draw points in Configuration.

What you will see

Matches in one round share a kick-off time and each carries a court number. That is why the fixture list is grouped: a round is everything played at once, across the courts you have.

If it does not work

  • Every number is zero. No match has a score yet.

  • Two pairs have the same PTS but a different order. SCORE separates them.

  • PTS does not match what you expected. Check Win points, Loss points and Draw points in Configuration. A draw is worth 2 by default, not 1.

  • You expected GF, GA and GD. Those are the football columns - see "Reading the group standings table in a football tournament".
