You need an email address and a password. Signing up takes two screens, and ends with a six-digit code sent to your inbox.
Create your account
Open Scoryboard. Signed out, it shows Create your account. There are three ways to sign up. Select Sign up with Google or Sign up with Apple to use an account you already have. Follow that provider's prompts, then carry on from step 4. This article uses the third way: an email address and a password.
Enter your email address and a password. The password must be at least six characters.
Select Sign up. Scoryboard opens Personal information.
Fill in your first name, last name, gender, sport and preferred position. All five are required. Tick the box to accept the Terms of Conditions and the Privacy Policy. The second box, about early access, is optional.
Select Continue. Scoryboard emails you a six-digit code.
Read the code from your inbox and type it into the six boxes. Scoryboard checks it as soon as you type the sixth digit.
What you will see
The verification screen shows the address the code went to. The Verify email button stays greyed out until all six digits are in.
Your email address is fixed. You can change your name, your sport and your position later in Profile settings, but not the address you signed up with.
If it does not work
The email has not arrived. Wait for the countdown under the boxes to reach zero. It is then replaced by Resend. Check your spam folder before you resend.
"Password must be at least 6 characters". Your password is too short. Six characters is the minimum.
"This email is already in use. Please use a different one." You already have an account with that address. Sign in instead, or reset your password.
"Email must be valid". Check the address for a typo.
