Scoryboard walks you through four screens after you sign up. Two are required. Two can be skipped, and you can do them later.

Before you start

The wizard runs once, on a new account. You cannot go back to it afterwards.

Walk through the wizard

  1. Sign up. Scoryboard opens Personal information, headed Step 1. Your email address is filled in and cannot be changed.

The Personal information step as it opens, with First name, Last name, Email, Gender, Sports and Preferred position.

  2. Choose your Gender. The options are Male, Female and Prefer not to say.

The Gender list open, showing Male, Female and Prefer not to say.

  3. Choose your Sports. This decides which positions the next question offers you.

The Sports list open, showing Football and Padel.

  4. Choose your Preferred position. Football offers Goalkeeper through to Substitute.

The Preferred position list open, showing Goalkeeper, Centerback, Leftback, Rightback and the midfield positions.

  5. Tick the box to accept the Terms of Conditions and the Privacy Policy, then select Continue. The early access box is optional.

Personal information filled in, the terms box ticked, and the Continue button outlined.

  6. Type the six-digit code Scoryboard has emailed you. It is checked as soon as you type the sixth digit.

The Email Verification screen with six empty boxes and a Verify email button.

  7. Name your first leaderboard on Create Leaderboard. A leaderboard is where your teams' results are ranked. The style is set to Football leaderboard for you.

The Create Leaderboard step, with Football leaderboard already chosen and an empty Leaderboard name field.

  8. Select Continue. Choose Skip instead if you would rather make one later.

Create Leaderboard with a name entered and the Continue button outlined.

  9. Choose what to do on Set up your team, headed Step 3. There are three ways out of this screen and the next three steps describe them.

The Set up your team step, with Join a team, Setup my team and Skip.

  10. Select Join if somebody has already invited you to a team. Any invitations waiting for you are listed here.

The Join a team screen, reading You don't have any pending team invites, with an Open Scoryboard button.

  11. Select Setup to build a team of your own. This opens match creation, and you make your team as you fill the match in.

The Create your match screen, with Home team, Away team and the match details below them.

  12. Select Skip to go straight into Scoryboard.

The top of the home page after skipping: your avatar, your name, your position and your counters.

What you will see

The screens are labelled Step 1 and Step 3. There is no screen labelled Step 2 - the verification code sits between them and carries no number.

Skipping costs you nothing. A leaderboard can be made any time from Leaderboards, and a team any time from Teams.

You already own two teams before you start. Scoryboard makes them for you when your account is created, named after you.

If it does not work

  • Continue does nothing on Step 1. One of the five required fields is empty, or the terms box is not ticked.

  • The verification email has not arrived. Wait for the countdown to reach zero, then select Resend.

  • You cannot get back to a step. The wizard runs once. Everything it collects can be changed later in Profile settings, Teams and Leaderboards.
