You can delete your account yourself, from Profile settings. It is immediate and it cannot be undone.

Before you start

Deleting removes your account, and you are signed out on the spot. There is no grace period and no way to get it back.

Delete your account

  1. Open Profile settings and scroll to DELETE ACCOUNT at the bottom.

The DELETE ACCOUNT section, with its red warning and the Delete Account button outlined.

  2. Select Delete Account. Scoryboard asks you to confirm.

The confirmation dialog reading This action cannot be undone, with Cancel and Delete Account.

  3. Read the warning. Select Cancel to stop, or Delete Account to go ahead.

  4. Scoryboard signs you out and returns you to the sign-in screen.

    The sign-in screen, signed out.

What you will see

Your address stops working straight away. Signing in with it gives The credential is invalid or has expired. - the same message as a wrong password. The message does not tell you which, so a deleted account and a mistyped password look identical.

The sign-in screen showing The credential is invalid or has expired after signing in with a deleted address.

Why an account may be disabled

Being disabled is not the same as being deleted, and it is not something you can do to your own account.

If your account has been turned off, signing in gives This user account has been disabled. That message is different from the one above, and it means the account still exists. Contact support to find out why.

If it does not work

  • You changed your mind after confirming. Deletion cannot be undone. Sign up again with the same address.

  • You cannot find the section. It is the last block on Profile settings, below Security.

  • You only want to stop the emails. Untick the early access box on Profile settings instead. See "Notification and email settings".
