Tournament Pro - what it is, and the three plans

Tournament Pro is a paid plan for one tournament, and it is not the same thing as your Pro membership. Basic, Pro and Annual, and what each one gives you.

Tournament Pro is a paid plan for a tournament. It is a different thing from the Pro membership on your account, which is free during the beta.

Before you start

The Subscriptions screen has two tabs:

  • Platform Pro - your own membership. Free during the beta. See "Free vs Pro - what is included".

  • Tournament Pro - a plan for a tournament. Real money.

Being a Pro member does not make your tournaments Pro, and buying Tournament Pro does not change your membership.

Read the three plans

  1. Select Subscriptions in the sidebar, then the Tournament Pro tab.

The Subscriptions screen on the Tournament Pro tab, showing the heading Tournament Pro plans and the BASIC, PRO and ANNUAL cards side by side.

  2. Read the BASIC card. It is free, and it is what every tournament starts on.

The BASIC card: price FREE, then Up to 5 teams, Manage participants, Schedule and format tool, Public website and Slideshow.

  3. Read the PRO card. It covers one tournament.

The PRO card: price £19.99, then Everything in Basic, Unlimited teams, List all your sponsors, Advanced slideshow, Tournament Chat and Export to PDF/CSV, with Request joining fee and Registration both marked Coming soon.

  4. Read the ANNUAL card. It covers every tournament you run for a year.

The ANNUAL card: price £215 with a 10% discount note, then Everything from Pro, 10% discount and Unlimited tournaments.

  5. Check the currency. The control sits beside the two tabs.

The currency control reading GBP, outlined, next to the Tournament Pro tab.

  6. Select it to change currency. Prices are set per currency, so the number on the card changes.

The currency menu open, listing GBP selected, EUR and USD.

What Basic actually stops you at

The BASIC card says "Up to 5 teams". The limit Scoryboard enforces is 8. The message you get reads:

Tournament Pro is required to add more than 8 teams to a group.

There is a matching one for brackets. Treat 8 as the number that matters, and 5 as the number the card advertises.

Basic also stops you at three other places, each with its own message:

  • Sponsors. "Tournament Pro is required to manage sponsors."

  • Exporting fixtures. "Tournament Pro is required to export fixtures."

  • The advanced slideshow and Tournament Chat are listed on the Pro card and not on Basic.

If it does not work

  • The plans say FREE and you expected a price. You are on the Platform Pro tab, which is your membership. Switch to Tournament Pro.

  • The price is in the wrong currency. Change it with the control beside the tabs. Prices are set per currency, not converted.

  • You see a panel about free slots. Scoryboard has given your account free Tournament Pro. See "Free Tournament Pro slots".

  • You are already a Pro member and still see the 8-team limit. That is expected. Your membership and your tournament's plan are separate.
