Your leaderboard settings screen

Edit Leaderboard is where you change the crest, the banner, the name and who helps you run the league. Owner and Administrators only.

Edit Leaderboard is where you change everything about a leaderboard except its matches. Five sections: the pictures, the name, who runs it, which teams are in it, and deleting it.

Before you start

Only the Owner and an Administrator can open this screen. Anybody else gets an error page.

Adding an Administrator needs Pro. Everything else on the screen works on Free. See "What you get on Free and on Pro".

Open it and work down the page

  1. Open Leaderboards, then the menu on the leaderboard's card, then Edit. You can also open the board and select the cog on its crest.

The whole Edit Leaderboard screen, showing its five sections: Profile Appearance, Basic Information, Roles, Teams and Delete Leaderboard.

  2. Change the pictures in Profile Appearance. There are two: the wide banner, and the round crest on it. Each has a pencil to replace it and a bin to remove it. Use a JPG, GIF or PNG under 3MB.

The Profile Appearance section: the banner with its pencil and bin at the top right, and the crest with its own pair below left.

  3. Rename it in Basic Information, then select Save Changes. Leaderboard style is fixed and cannot be changed.

The Basic Information section. Leaderboard style is outlined, greyed out and reads "Football leaderboard". Leaderboard name holds "KB 08 Premier League".

  4. Read who runs the league in Roles. The Owner field shows the address of the person who created it and cannot be edited. Administrators are listed under it.

The Roles section: a greyed-out Owner field, an Admins list with one administrator, and the Add Admin control outlined.

  5. Select Add Admin to let somebody else help run it. Pick a player from your list, or type their email address. Then select Continue.

The Add Admin window: a Select player row, the word OR, an Enter email address field, and a greyed-out Continue button.

  6. Select Remove beside an administrator to take the role away. They stay in the league as a player.

What you will see

Discard and Save Changes stay greyed out until you change something. They only apply to Basic Information. The pictures, the roles and the teams save as you go.

An address, not a name, in the Owner field. The screen shows the email address the leaderboard belongs to. It cannot be changed, and there is no way to hand a leaderboard to somebody else.

One style, and no way to change it. Leaderboard style reads "Football leaderboard" on every leaderboard.

An administrator you add by email is matched to their account. If somebody already uses that address, the role goes to them and the leaderboard appears in their own Leaderboards list, badged Admin.

What an Administrator can do

An Administrator gets the whole screen, including Delete Leaderboard. Two differences: they cannot remove themselves, and teams they do not own are marked External.

If you are neither

The screen does not open. You get the app's error page, and it does not say why.

The error page a visitor gets: a warning triangle, "This page couldn't load", "Reload to try again, or go back.", and Reload and Back buttons.

Reload will not help. Ask whoever runs the league to make you an Administrator.

If it does not work

  • You get "This page couldn't load". You are not the Owner and not an Administrator. Ask whoever runs the league to add you.

  • Add Admin says the limit is reached. Adding administrators needs Pro. On Free the Owner runs the league alone.

  • Save Changes will not turn on. Nothing has changed yet, or the name is empty.

  • Your own teams are marked External. Open Teams in the menu once, then come back. The screen only knows which teams are yours after that page has loaded.

  • The crest is still initials after you uploaded one. Reload the page. Check the file is a JPG, GIF or PNG under 3MB.
