Nobody has to be invited to a match. Everybody in either line-up is told when the match is created.

Nobody needs an invitation

A Match scheduled notification goes out to every Scoryboard account in either team's line-up the moment the match is made. You do not send it and you cannot resend it.

To bring somebody new in, add them to the team. They are on the next match's line-up. See "Inviting players to your team".

The referee is not notified. Tell them yourself.

Share the match

  1. Open the match and select the share button beside the tabs.

The Share a match window with the public link outlined and a QR code below it.

  2. Copy the link, or let somebody scan the code. Anybody who opens it can read the match. They do not need a Scoryboard account.

The same link opened by somebody who is not signed in: the match preview marked View Only, with both teams, the score, the countdown to kick-off, the referee, the date, the venue and the pitch.

  3. To put the match in a calendar app, select the calendar icon at the top right and choose Google, Outlook, Apple or Other.

The Add to Calendar menu open, offering Google, Outlook, Apple and Other, outlined.

  4. Every fixture card on a team page carries the same control.

A team's fixture card with all the match details and its own Add to Calendar button, outlined.

What the link shows

The page is read-only. Nobody can change the match from it. Before kick-off it is headed Match Preview (View Only). Afterwards it is headed Match Result.

Somebody who is not signed in still sees all of this:

  • the score, and a countdown to kick-off before the match starts

  • the date, the kick-off time, the venue and the pitch number

  • the referee and the leaderboard

  • your note, on the FEED tab

  • both line-ups by name, on the LINEUP tab

  • both teams' insights and statistics, on the FACTS tab

Once the match has been played, the same link also shows the whole feed:

  • every goal, with the scorer and the assister by name

  • every yellow and red card, with the player's name

  • any commentary you typed

  • Player of the match

  • the name of whoever recorded each of those, which is usually you

  • the match's average rating and how many people have rated it

Share it only with people you are happy to show all of that to. The line-ups and the feed carry your players' names.

The link unfurls. Paste it into a social post or a chat app and it expands to the two teams, the venue and its town, and the date.

The matches calendar

  1. Open Schedule. Every match you are part of is there, in Month view.

The Scheduled Matches calendar for September 2026 with two fixtures on their days. The 24 September entry is outlined.

  2. Switch to Day with the first of the three view buttons, and pick a day from the month beside it.

The Day view for 24 September 2026, showing the 7:00 PM fixture and a month picker on the right.

What you will see

The notification says "Match scheduled". It carries the two teams, the date, the kick-off and the venue.

A squad member's notifications, holding two rows that each read "Match scheduled KB 09 United X KB 09 Rovers" with the date and the venue.

Month is the default view. There are three: Day, Week and Month.

A match that is not finished being set up is not on anybody's calendar. See "Match statuses, and why a match is stuck on Incomplete".

If it does not work

  • Somebody in your squad was not told. They have no Scoryboard account - they are on the team sheet by name only. Invite them to the team by email.

  • There is no Add to Calendar on the match. The match is not finished being set up. The control appears once it is Scheduled.

  • The calendar is empty. It opens on this month. Your fixture may be in the next one - use the arrows beside the dates.
