You do not have to set a match up before you play it. Create it afterwards, set the time it kicked off, and Scoryboard starts it for you.
Before you start
Record the match within a day of the final whistle. After that, Scoryboard creates it already finished, at 0-0. You cannot enter the score.
Record the match
Select Create Match, then fill the details in as usual: both teams, a leaderboard, a venue, a duration and a team size.
Open Date and choose the day it was played. Past days are allowed, and the arrow at the top left takes you back a month.
Set Start time to the time it actually kicked off.
Select Save changes. The match starts itself, and the clock is already running.
The feed says what happened, so nobody wonders who started it.
Enter the score and the cards the usual way, then select END MATCH at full time.
What you will see
Nothing in the app warns you. The date picker offers every day of every month, including days too old to record.
A match older than a day arrives finished. It is created, it ends itself, and it sits at 0-0 for ever.
The day runs from full time, not from kick-off. A 90 minute match that kicked off 25 hours ago ended 23 and a half hours ago. You can still record it.
You do not have to enter the score in one sitting. Once the match is running you have a day before it ends itself - the countdown reads Match auto-ends in.
If it does not work
The match is finished before you have entered anything. It ended more than a day ago. Cancel it from the gear menu. The result cannot be recorded in Scoryboard.
The match will not start. Something is still missing. A match needs both teams, a leaderboard, a venue, a date, a duration and a team size.
The clock reads less than the full length. That is correct. It counts from the kick-off time you set.
You set the wrong date. Change it before the match starts. Once it is running, the date locks with everything else.
