Venues - adding, finding, editing and logos

Where your venues live, how to add one, how to find it when you set up a match, and how to edit it, give it a logo or remove it.

Your venues are kept in Profile settings, under Locations. Add one there or from a match form, and it appears in the venue list every time you set up a match.

Before you start

A venue belongs to the account that added it. You can edit and remove your own venues. You cannot change a venue somebody else added, and nobody can change yours.

Adding a venue

  1. Open Profile settings from your name in the sidebar.

  2. Scroll to Leaderboards, Teams and Locations. Your venues sit under Locations.

  3. Select Add Location.

The Locations row of Profile settings. Three venues are listed, KB 22 Astro, KB 22 Park and KB 22 Cup Ground, the last with a pink Saved badge. Add Location, at the top right of the list, is outlined in red.

  4. Fill in the Club name and the Location. The location is free text, so write the address the way your players will recognise it. Continue stays greyed out until both fields hold something.

The Add new club location form: a round Upload Club Logo control, an empty Club name field, an empty Location field and a greyed-out Continue button.

  5. Select Continue. The venue appears in your list at once.

The same form filled in: Club name KB 22 Scratch Pitch, Location Deptford Park, London. The Continue button is now blue and is outlined in red.

You can also add a venue while you set up a match. Open Location Club on the match form and select Create club location at the top of the list. The same form opens.

Finding a venue when you set up a match

  1. On the match form, select the Location Club box. Your venues are listed, with Create club location above them.

The Location Club box on the Create your match form with its list open above it. The list is headed Create club location with a blue plus button, then KB 22 Astro, KB 22 Park and KB 22 Scratch Pitch, each with its address. The KB 22 Scratch Pitch row is outlined in red.

  2. Select a venue, or type three or more letters to search. A search matches names and addresses, and it also finds Powerleague venues, which every Scoryboard account can use.

The list shows your own venues and Powerleague venues. Another manager's venue never appears in it, even if you type its exact name. Venues saved for tournaments are not in this list either. See Tournament-only venues and saving venues for reuse.

Editing a venue and adding a logo

  1. In Locations, select the three dots on the venue's row. The menu offers Edit and Remove.

The KB 22 Scratch Pitch row in the Locations list with its menu open to the right. The menu, outlined in red, reads Edit and Remove.

  2. Select Edit. Change the name or the address as you need.

  3. To add a logo, select Upload Club Logo and choose a picture. A round cropper opens.

  4. Scroll to zoom and drag to position. Select Apply.

The Edit Your Avatar cropper over the Edit club location form. A green pitch graphic reading KB 22 sits inside a round crop area. Below it are a Zoom slider, a Cancel button and a blue Apply button, which is outlined in red.

  5. Select Continue. The row shows the new details and the logo in place of the initials.

The Locations list again. The KB 22 Scratch Pitch row, outlined in red, now shows the green pitch logo and the address Deptford Park, Evelyn Street, London.

A logo can be replaced but not removed. Once a venue has one, it always has one.

Removing a venue

  1. In Locations, select the three dots on the venue's row.

  2. Select Remove. The venue is deleted at once. There is no confirmation and no undo.

Matches already booked at the venue keep it and still show its name. To move one, edit the match and choose another venue. See Venue, date, kick-off time, duration and pitch.

If it does not work

  • You added a venue and nothing new appeared. You already hold a venue with that name. Scoryboard keeps the one you have, including its old address, and ignores the new entry. Edit the existing venue instead.

  • The search finds nothing. You need at least three letters. The search covers your own venues and Powerleague venues only.

  • Edit is refused with "Club location can only be modified by its creator". Somebody else added the venue. Ask them to change it, or add your own.

  • A venue is missing from the match form but shows in Profile settings with a Saved badge. It is a tournament venue. Tournament venues and match venues are separate lists. Add it again from Profile settings or a match form to use it for matches.
