Collecting money through Scoryboard - an overview

Ask your players for money, track who has paid, and pay what you owe. Here is how the whole thing fits together.

Scoryboard lets you ask your players for money and pay them back. Everything lives under Payment in the sidebar.

Before you start

To ask for money you need a payout account. Setting one up takes a few minutes and you only do it once. See Setting up your payout account.

To pay a request you need nothing. Anybody can pay.

How it works

  1. Open Payment. Before you have asked for anything, the page shows you the three steps.

The Payment page before any request has been made, showing three steps: Setup Your Account, Request and Make Payments, and Track and Remind.

  2. Choose Request Payment and pick where your players come from. You can charge a leaderboard, a team or your friends list.

The Request Payment window offering Leaderboards, Teams and Friends, with Teams outlined.

  3. REQUESTED lists everything you have asked for, and how many people have paid.

The REQUESTED tab with four payment requests, each showing the due date, the total, the amount per person, and how many have paid.

  4. PAY lists what you owe other people.

The PAY tab showing three requests to pay, each with the amount, who it goes to, and its status.

  5. Payments also sit on a team, a leaderboard and a match, under their own PAYMENT tab.

The PAYMENT tab on a team page, listing the requests raised against that team.

What you will see

Money is handled by Stripe, not by Scoryboard. Your bank details go to Stripe and Scoryboard never sees them.

Every amount is in pounds. Each request carries a small transaction fee, and you choose whether your players pay it or you do. See Fees - passing them on or absorbing them.
