The number beside the star is the mean of every rating that thing has been given, rounded to one decimal place.
Where the average appears
Three places, all showing the same thing: a team page, a player profile, and the header of a finished match. The count beside it is a link.
Read the ratings behind it
Select the n reviews link beside the average.
Read the list. Every rating is there, with who left it, their score and their review if they wrote one.
Those two scores are 4 and 5. Their mean is 4.5, which is the number in the header.
Why the number does not always match your arithmetic
The average is rounded to one decimal place. Three ratings of 4, 5 and 5 average 4.6666..., and the app shows 4.7.
So the figure you see can be a little above or below the exact mean. Open the list and add the scores up yourself if you need the precise number.
What you will see
One rating per person. Somebody who rates the same thing twice replaces their first rating. They never count twice.
Nothing rated yet reads 0.0. The count says 0 reviews and is not a link. A single rating reads 1 review, not "1 reviews".
A team's average is its own. It is not worked out from its players' averages, and a player's is not worked out from their teams'. Each is rated separately.
Ratings are opinions, not statistics. They are nothing to do with goals, wins or form. For those, see How team and player statistics are calculated.
If it does not work
The average did not move after you rated. Reload the page. One new rating among several moves the mean only a little.
The count is not a link. Nothing has been rated yet. There is no list to open.
You want the spread of scores. There is no breakdown by star. The list of individual ratings is what the app shows.
Somebody rated you unfairly. Only they can change or remove it. See Rating a match, player, team or referee.
